CYMivtsi in Bradford meet Bishop Kenneth and honour the memory of Druh Yuriy Moroz

Members of CYM Bradford had the privilege of meeting with Bishop Kenneth Nowakowski, Bishop of the Ukrainian Catholic Eparchy of the Holy Family of London, during his Canonical visit to the Ukrainian Catholic Parish in Bradford.

The bishop, along with members of the Eparchial Curia, took the time to visit the Taras Shevchenko Ukrainian School in Bradford to connect with the yunatstvo.

The bishop engaged with the yunatstvo, sharing insights into his role and patiently answering their questions. As part of the programme, the yunatstvo and children performed poems, songs, and dances to express their gratitude.

CYM Bradford prepared gifts for their esteemed visitors, with Bishop Kenneth receiving a CYM tie and patches, and officially becoming a member of the Осередок.

Following the meeting with yunatstvo, the Bishop, CYMivtsi and members of the community attended a short blessing of a temporary memorial to the victims of the invasion of Ukraine. This included laying a cross for CYMivets Druh Yuriy Moroz, who was recently killed near Soledar.

Eternal memory, to a hero of Ukraine. Sleep peacefully, without distruption.
