CYM GB welcomes His Excellency Valerii Zaluzhnyi, Ukraine’s new Ambassador to the UK



CYM GB was honoured to be invited to a meeting with His Excellency Valerii Zaluzhnyi, Ukraine’s new Ambassador to the UK and former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. 

 

The meeting took place on Thursday 25th July and was the first opportunity for representatives of Ukrainian Organisations, Charities and Churches in the UK to meet with the new Ambassador.

 

The Ambassador thanked all the organisations for their work in supporting Ukraine and stressed the importance of working together towards our joint goal of Ukraine's victory.

 

Representing CYM GB was druh Alex Kosmirak, deputy chair of Krayova Uprava, who spoke about the work of CYM in GB. He also highlighted ideas for CYM’s 100 good deeds for Victory, as part of CYM’s 100-year celebratory programme in 2025.

 

“It was a real privilege and amazing honour to represent CYM GB and meet such an inspiring leader,” said druh Alex. “I hope we can build and develop these initial introductions to constructively work with our new Ambassador, on CYM aims and the shared goal of Ukraine’s ultimate victory.”

 

In a letter, which was sent prior to the meeting welcoming the ambassador to the UK, Krayova Uprava CYM GB thanked him for his service to Ukraine as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, wished him the best in his new role and invited him to visit Tarasivka and meet with CYMivtsi.
