Tarasivka is the Ukrainian Youth Association's centre in GB. It has become the main centre for national yearly events, like Zdvyhy CYM, summer tabory, and Svyato Heroyiv.
To a lot of our members, Tarasivka is fondly and affectionately known as the "Field of Dreams," where many relationships first started. Many sumivtsi have happy memories of Tarasivka where they spent their early youth at tabory, learning and being educated about Ukraine.
We have recently received video messages, which we would like to share with you in this post, from Svyatoslav Vakarchuk (lead singer with Okean Elzy) and Mykola Serga (founder of "Cultural Landing" and "Cultural Forces of Ukraine", an officer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine), greeting us on the occasion of Tarasivka's 60th anniversary, since/when it was purchased by our parents and grandparents.
We extend a special invitation to both Svyatoslav Vakarchuk and Mykolay Serga to visit our CYM oselia Tarasivka next year, during our Centenary celebrations of when CYM was first founded in Ukraine in 1925.
